On 22–23 of September the Kick-off meeting of the project Oversize Baltic of INTERREG IV program took place in Klaipeda Science and Technology Park. The aim of the project – to increase the effectiveness and safety of the oversized and overweight cargo transportation. More information
 
 
On 16 of September in Vilnius LITEXPO exhibition centre there took place the international Lithuanian-Belarus economic forum „Belarus and the Baltic States: new cooperation development opportunities“. More information

On 13–16 of September the meeting Container Terminal Concepts within the framework of the project „PortNet“ of the Baltic Sea Region INTERREG programme took place in Hamburg (Germany).
The Seaport Authority as a partner took part in project „PortNet“ of the Baltic Sea Region INTERREG programme in 2005-2008. The  project is aimed at exchanging the best practices and available information among experts of different sectors from various ports.

On 23 of July a working group meeting for implementation of East - West Transport Corridor took place in the Government of the Republic of Lithuania in Vilnius.
 
 
  On 21 of July a meeting of the Port working group of The Tall Ships’ Races Baltic 2009 Steering committee took place in SE Klaipėda State Seaport Authority.
 
 
On 26 of June a meeting of  directors of European Maritime transport sector „Developments in Maritime Transport Policy, Safety and Environment was held in Brussels (Belgium). The aim of this meeting was to introduce the representatives of maritime transport sector of the European Union states-members with recent changes in the system of international maritime transportation and activities carried out by  International Maritime Organization (IMO). More information 
 
 
On 22 of June a meeting of the Port working group of The Tall Ships’ Races Baltic 2009 Steering committee took place in SE Klaipėda State Seaport Authority.

On 22 of June the meeting of the partners of the project “East-West Transport Corridor II – a Green Corridor Concept within the Northern Transport Axis Approach“ was held in Malmö (Sweden). During the meeting the project partners discussed the project programme, budget allotments, procedure for undersigning of partnership agreements, reporting and accountability, project implementation and other relevant organisational issues. On 17-19 of June the forum Security of Transport Complexes was held in Saint Petersburg (Russia). The international forum was focused on the aspects and issues of security of ports and transport complexes, secure cargo transportation by railway and cargo handling in the ports (transport and logistics complex). Relevant issues of security assurance onshore and in the port waters and as well as on sea-going and inland water vessels were also discussed. More information
 
 
On 11–12 of June the meeting Hinterland Gateway Concepts within the framework of the project „PortNet“ of the Baltic Sea Region INTERREG programme took place in Antwerp (Belgium).

On 29 of May, a circuit meeting of the Committee on Environment protection of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania took place at the SE Klaipeda State Seaport Authority.
 
 
On 22-24 of April, the XVIII annual general assenmbly of international Cruise Europe Association and promotive events of cruise shipping took place in Vigo port (Spain). More information

On 20-21 of April, the first meeting on international PR project People around Ports was held in Rotterdam (the Netherlands). The objective of the Project is to improve the image of ports, decrease the insularity of port territories, contribute to the integration of the population of a port-city and maritime community.
 
 
On 6 of March, a meeting of the Intermodal & Logistics Committee of the European Sea Ports Organization (ESPO) and meeting of TEN-T working group was held in Barcelona (Spain). On 25 of February, Artūras Drungilas, Director for Marketing of SE Klaipėda State Seaport Authority participated in the meeting held in Malmo (Sweden) concerning the project „East-West Transport Corridor II“ under the Baltic Sea Region program INTERREG IV. On 20-21 of January, the first meeting of newly formed Lithuanian and Belarusian working group on transit transport was held in Druskininkai where the Ministers of Transport of both countries undersigned a protocol. More information
