On 30 of October authorities of subdivision „YIT Infra“ subordinate to the company „YIT Corporation“ accompanied by „ YIT Kausta“ managers visited Klaipeda State Seaport Authority. The goal of this visit was to get information on Klaipeda Port infrastructure development tendencies while forecasting participation in anticipated port development tenders, and to review on board of a ship port water territory. On 21 of October delegation under the leadership of the minister of transport of the People’s Republic of China met with representatives from Klaipeda State Seaport Authority and Stevedoring Companies. On 6 of August experts of JASPERS programme together with representatives of  Directorate for Transport investments and State Enterprise Transport and road research institute visited Klaipėda State Seaport Authority. The aim of visit  – to provide consultations and to discuss issues related with infrastructure project „Construction of Infrastructure of Passenger and Cargo Ferry Terminal“ being implemented at  Klaipėda port, financed from the EU Structural Funds. On 6 of August children from Kaunas Sea Scout leisure centre pupils’ camp “Marine cadets -3” visited Klaipėda port. The aim of the visit was to introduce children to the specific features of operation of the port services and departments, capacities of the port vessels and the peculiarities of a seaman profession. On 5–6 of August chief engineers of Chinese Company China Communications Construction Company Ltd visited Klaipėda Port. On 4 of August at Klaipėda State Seaport Authority an agreement on donation in amount of 255.291,00 EUR for Šventoji seaport reconstruction feasibility study with design proposals was undersigned by Director General of the Port Authority dr. Eugenijus Gentvilas and Director for Regional Consultations of Alatec, Ingenieros, Consultores Y Arquitectos, S. A. (a Spanish company of engineers, consultants and architects) Enrique Uribarri. On 10 of June, a delegation of journalists from Saint Petersburg (Russia), working in the newspapers “Metro“ and “Delovoj Peterburg“ as well as in the Russian television visited Klaipėda port. On 1 of June, a delegation of Fecamp port (France) visited Klaipėda port. The goal of the visit was to get acquainted with Klaipėda port, discuss the possibilities of transportation of fertilizers and preparation of regatta between France and the Baltic States.
 
 
On 26-28 of May European Commission inspectors visited Klaipėda port. The aim of the visit was to execute inspection of ships belonging to Klaipėda State Seaport, terminals and EU states. More information
 
 
On 19 of May the representatives of Cingdao municipality, China – Vice Mayor Wang Xiulin, Director General of the commission on urban development and reforms Liu Mingjun and the Head of Foreign Affairs Department Zhang Zhiqiang – visited Klaipėda port. The objective of the visit was to acquaint with Klaipėda port and city, its economic situation and business environment.
 
 
On 15 of May, a meeting of Eligijus Masiulis, the Minister of Transport and Communications of Lithuania and Igor Levitin, the Minister of Transport of Russia, was held where the ministers discussed the issues of railway tariffs on cargo transportation, cooperation in the field of road transport, navigation in the Curonian Lagoon and other issues of transport development.  Also, a protocol of negotiation by Lithuanian, Russian and Belarusian experts concerning railway tariffs on cargo transportation was undersigned. On 14 of May, an official delegation of the Republic of Estonia – Ambassador   Tiit Naber, representatives of the Estonian Chamber of Commerce in Lithuania and a group of businessmen visited Klaipėda port. The objective of the visit was to acquaint with Klaipėda city and port, economic situation, business environment, establish new business contacts and discuss investment possibilities.
 
 
On 5 of May, a group of students and lecturers from the Karlstad University (Sweden) visited Klaipėda port. The aim of the visit was to acquaint with Klaipėda port and port companies, port development projects, the future plans and environmental issues.
 
 
On 29 of April a meeting with “Sail Training International” – the organizers of The Tall Ships’ Races Baltic 2009 took place at SE Klaipeda State Seaport Authority. The meeting included discussions on the following issues: administration of the regatta, sail parade, finish line, communications and media, ships, quay infrastructure, the customs and border control, visa, etc.  
 
 
On 16 of April, a delegation of media representatives from Belarus, accompanied by Vytautas Velička, the consul of Lithuania in Grodno, visited Klaipėda port. The aim of this visit –  to acquaint with economic situation in Lithuania, business and tourism environment.
 
 
On 30 of March the delegation led by HE Ambassador of People’s Republic of China J.E. Tong Mingtao visited Klaipėda port. The aim of the visit was a search of new markets attractive for investments, acquaintance with Klaipėda city and port, economic situation.
 
 
On 25 of March, officials of the Ministry of Transport of Ukraine and the Customs of Ukraine visited Klaipėda port under ICITAP program (International Criminal Investigative Training Assistance Program). The aim of this visit of Ukrainian officials – to acquaint with Klaipėda port, the principles of the customs control and cooperation among controlling institutions of the port as well as with Information System for Declaration of Cargoes and Commodities KIPIS being introduced at the port.
 
 
On 20 of March, a delegation led by Piotr Krzystek, the President (Mayor) of Szczecin city (Poland) visited Klaipėda port. The aim of this visit was to share experience concerning organizing of The Tall Ships‘ Races and to acquaint with Klaipėda port, its infrastructure and development prospects.
