On 6 October 2010, a delegation led by the First Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Uladzimir Semashka visited the port of Klaipėda. The aim of the visit at Klaipėda port – to view the port waters and possible locations for construction of gas terminal.
On 6-7 October of this year, the delegation led by the First Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Uladzimir Semashka attended the meeting of realization of Lithuania-Belarus bilateral working group communiqué regarding economic cooperation in field of energetics which was held in Klaipėda and Palanga. The present communiqué was undersigned on 28 June 2010 in Minsk.
On 3 October 2010 at 16.00–17.00, the guests were taken on an excursion around the port waters by ship, during which the Director General Eugenijus Gentvilas introduced port infrastructure and superstructure, also introduced the plans of the Seaport Authority regarding prospects of improvement of infrastructure and port development prospects and discussed the relevant to the guests question of construction of gas terminal.
