Delegation of representatives of the Ministry of Transport and Communication of Turkey and Turkey railways visited the port
On 19 October 2010 the Seaport Authority was visited by the delegation of representatives of the Ministry of Transport and Communication of Turkey and Turkey railways, which was welcomed by the Marketing and Administration Director Artūras Drungilas.
Aim of the visit – seminar “Quality Structure for Intermodal Transport“ which was moderated by the Marketing and Administration Director Artūras Drungilas. During the seminar the guests were introduced to Klaipėda port cargo handling capacities, prospects and ongoing infrastructure projects, as well as possibilities of train “Vikingas“ route extension to Turkey were analyzed.
After the meeting at the Seaport Authority the members of the delegation visited the port companies – JSC Klaipeda Container Terminal, SC Klaipėda Stevedoring Company (KLASCO)and Joint-stock stevedoring company “Klaipedos Smeltė“.
