 On the 21st of October, 2009 delegation under the leadership of the minister of transport of the People’s Republic of China met with representatives from Klaipeda State Seaport Authority and Stevedoring Companies. The venue of the meeting was the conference hall of hotel „Klaipeda“. The director for marketing of Port Authority Arturas Drungilas participated in this meeting. Delegation under the leadership of the minister of Transport of the People’s Republic of China Li Shenglin consisted of 32 members. Delegation was accompanied by Arunas Staras, the vice minister of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Lithuania and other members of the ministry. The goal of this visit was to get information on anticipated infrastructure projects in Klaipeda Port and to present the potential of Chinese construction work companies. After the meeting with representatives of Klaipeda State Seaport Authority and Stevedoring Companies, presentation of Klaipeda Port activity, economical Port indices, development perspectives, capacities of Port operators and particularity of terminals and on discussing issues related with infrastructure projects to be executed in Klaipeda Port, the members of delegation under the leadership of the minister of Transport of the People’s Republic of China went on a sea trip around Klaipeda Port.
