Foreign Masters degree students who arrived to study at Klaipėda University under the ERASMUS MUNDUS exchange programme visited Klaipėda Seaport
On 16 October 2009 foreign Master‘s degree students who arrived to study at KlaipėdaUniversity under the ERASMUS MUNDUS exchange programme visited Klaipėda Seaport.The aim of the visit – to familiarize with Klaipėda port activities and prospects.
The guests were welcomed at the Seaport Authority by Director for Marketing Artūras Drungilas and Head of Port Dispatcher Office Aleksandras Kaupas and were introduced to Klaipėda Seaport activities, economic indicators of the port performance, development prospects. The meeting that was also attended by representatives of respective departments of the Seaport Authority included discussions on issues that the guests were especially interested in – construction of the future outer port, compliance with ISO standards, and issues of environmental protection in the port.
After the visit to the Seaport Authority, an introductory excursion around the port waters by ship was planned for foreign Master‘s degree students in order to show them the port and the estimated site for outer port construction in Melnragė.
