 On the 1st of October 2009 HE Ambassador of France in Lithuania J. E. François Laumonier visited Klaipeda Port Authority. The objective of the visit – was to get acquainted with the activities of Klaipeda port and its perspectives. The guest accompanied by the employees of the French Embassy in Lithuania was received by the Director General of the Port Authority Eugenijus Gentvilas and Director for Marketing Arturas Drungilas and they told about the activities of Klaipeda port, economic results of the port and on-going port development projects as well as port possibilities and capacities. There also took part at the meeting the president of the Association of Lithuanian stevedoring companies Aloyzas Kuzmarskis and executive director of the above association Viktoras Budiak, who reviewed the activities and specifics of stevedoring companies and logistics matters. After the visit at the Port Authority the delegation went on a tour around the port on a ship. Having visited Klaipeda port, the French Ambassador and his delegation visited AB Klaipeda Stevedoring Company (KLASCO) and Klaipeda trade, industry and crafts chamber.
