Each year at the beginning of cruise season Cruise Europe association, the member of which is SE Klaipėda State Seaport Authority since 2001, organized the biggest event of the year: general assembly, committee meetings, cruise shipping inducing conferences, seminars and meetings with cruise lines.

 

In May 7-10 2008 such an event was organized by SE Klaipėda State Seaport Authority.

 

This year in April 22-24 general assembly and events of cruise shipping – seminars, presentations on the strategy of cruise shipping, committee meetings of the regions – were organized by Vigo port in Spain. In four seminars that took place at a time the ideas and proposals about the safety of port, shore and coordination of marketing strategy were discussed. The activity strategy of the association was also discussed at the event and budget matters under economic recession conditions were being solved. The members shared their knowledge in the field of cruise shipping marketing, discussed the results that were achieved.  

 

Cruise Europe association, in order to attract more cruise vessels and passengers to the ports of European region, executes active marketing, creates and implements the common advertising strategy  of cruise ports of European region, visits cruise shipping companies, organizes conferences and seminars, participates in exhibitions, shares the knowledge in the inducement of cruise shipping, makes studies and executes research work. The members of the association cooperate by informing about their ports and places of interest worth visiting in their region.
