 On 22 June, 2009 the Head of Marketing Department of SE Klaipėda State Seaport Authority Kristina Gontier took part in the meeting of the partners of the project “East-West Transport Corridor II – a Green Corridor Concept within the Northern Transport Axis Approach“ held in Malmö (Sweden). During the meeting in Malmö the project partners discussed the project programme, budget allotments, procedure for undersigning of partnership agreements, reporting and accountability, project implementation and other relevant organisational issues. On 9 June the abovementioned project involving 31 partners, with total budget of the project amounting to 6 mln. EUR was approved by the Monitoring committee. The project “East-West Transport Corridor II – a Green Corridor Concept within the Northern Transport Axis Approach“ within the framework of INTERREG IV programme will extend for 2 years. Within the framework of the project, the Seaport Authority is planning to make technical design for construction of hydraulic ramp at junction of quays No. 151-152 and to acquire DUKC – a real-time dynamic under keel clearance management system (software and technical instrumentation) - developed for calculation of waves, tides, currents and vessel dynamics in real time situations to produce the safest and most efficient transit of large ships in and out of ports in shallow or restricted-depth waterways.
