Meeting regarding sources of financing for the monument “Albatrosas”
On 2 October 2009 a meeting regarding sources of financing for the monument “Albatrosas” in honour ofthe Lithuanian seafarers perished at sea and sunken ships was held in the Seaport Authority.
The abovementioned meeting was initiated by Klaipėda State Seaport Authority, in pursuance of resolution of Klaipėda State Seaport Council meeting, dated 31 July 2009, regarding transfer of construction works of the monument “Albatrosas“ in honour of the Lithuanian seafarers perished at sea and sunken ships to Klaipėda City Municipality or its subordinate public institution, also taking into account the consent of Klaipėda City Municipality to take over and implement the process of construction of this object. The meeting also included discussion on financing issues of the monument construction.
