On 17-18 March 2010, a seminar of the Baltic Sea Region programme project “Baltic Master II“ “Ballast water and sediment management“ was held in Gdynia (Poland) which was attended by the Head of the Port Dispatcher office Aleksandras Kaupas. The aim of the present seminar – to discuss existing ballast water management procedures in Baltic Sea Region. During the seminar, questions regarding ballast water and sediment management convention, duties and obligations of ports, maritime administrations and ship owners were discussed.
