 On 27-29 April 2010, the Head of Marketing Department Kristina Gontier attended the 9th annual General Assembly and Conference of the International Cruise Association “Cruise Europe“ which took place in Amsterdam (Holland). Every year at the beginning of the cruise season, Cruise Europe, of which SE Klaipėda State Seaport Authority is the member since 2001, organizes its biggest annual event in different ports of the members: General Assembly, Committee meetings, cruise shipping encouragement conferences, seminars, meeting with the representatives of the cruise line companies. On 7-10 May 2008, such event was organized at our port by Klaipėda State Seaport Authority. On 27-29 of this year, General Assembly and the cruise shipping events (seminars, presentations of cruise shipping strategy, regional committees meetings) was organized by the Port of Amsterdam. Cruise Europe, in order to attract more cruise ships and passengers to the ports of European Region, is engaged in active marketing activity this way implementing overall advertising strategy of cruise ports of the European Region, visiting cruise line companies, organizing conferences and seminars, participate in exhibitions, share experience in the field of cruise shipping encouragement, implement studies and researches. Members of the Association present information to the cruise line companies about their ports and places to visit in their regions.
