The European Commission approved Klaipėda Outer port construction feasibility study and Environmental impact assessment as eligible to partial financing
On 17 December 2009 the European Commission sent a written confirmation that after a meeting regarding partial financing of the projects from the funds of TEN-T programme, which took place on 7 December 2009, Klaipėda Outer port construction feasibility study and Environmental impact assessment is selected a project which is eligible to aforesaid partial financing.
 
The Seaport Authority submitted an application for partial financing of Klaipėda Outer port construction feasibility study and Environmental impact assessment from TEN-T programme (Trans-European Transport Network) on 13 May 2009.
 
The European Commission together with TEN-T executive agency received and evaluated in total 96 applications; their evaluation was made following the provisions of TEN-T 2009 annual work programme and its guidelines. 32 applications were approved as eligible to partial financing from TEN-T programme. Klaipėda Outer port construction feasibility study and Environmental impact assessment was among aforesaid 32 projects.
 
On 7 December 2009 the European Commission together with TEN-T executive agency referring to the projects included into TEN-T 2009 annual work programme and their estimated funding, adopted a decision to assign partial financing for Outer port construction feasibility study and Environmental impact assessment. Estimated partial financing from the funds of TEN-T programme in the aforesaid programme will amount to 500 000 Euros.
