The member of European Commission Algirdas Gediminas Šemeta paid a visit to Klaipeda Seaport Authority
On the 26th of March, 2010 the member of European Commission Algirdas Gediminas Šemeta visited KlaipėdaState Seaport Authority. The goal of this visit was to receive information on the activity of KlaipedaPort and to discuss the intensity of the possible EU aid to seaports.
On the 26th of March, 2010 the member of European Commission Algirdas Gediminas Šemeta, responsible for taxation and customs union, audit and anti – fraud office budget visited Klaipėda State Seaport Authority. He was accompanied by Laimute Pilukaite, the acting head of EC Representation in Lithuania. The quests were received by the director general of Port Authority Eugenijus Gentvilas and director for economics and finance Martynas Armonaitis.
During this meeting Klaipeda Port activity, projects and development perspectives were presented to the guests. In line maximum intensity of the possible EU aid to seaports applying the State aid element and such practice in the countries of European Union were considered.
