Projects 2005-2007

Participation of KSSA in international projects (2005 - 2007)

The expansion of the European Union opened up the potential for the Klaipėda port to utilise its funds for the purpose of developing the port’s infrastructure, technologies, the conduct of research projects, exchange of experience, knowledge and expertise, thereby attracting to the port of Klaipėda new traffics of freight and passengers, investments, and ensuring security of the port and compliance with the environmental requirements.

Of special value for the Port Authority was participation in the transport projects under the Interreg III programme financed under the European Regional Development Fund: „East-West TC“, „Baltic Gateway Plus“, Cruise Baltic“, „DagoB“, InterBaltic“, Port-Net“, „Coastman“, „LogVas“, „InLoc“. The intended continuity of part of these projects additionally makes it plain that participation in such projects gave real benefits to the partners.
