New shipping line will connect Klaipeda with Iceland

In the end of August EIMSKIP will launch a new service from Icelandic ports to Gdynia and Klaipeda, the line’s ships will be accommodated at KKT container terminal.

EIMSKIP have been transporting containers via Klaipeda for a number of years, but until now they have been using other operators’ services. Increasing cargo volumes to Poland and the Baltics related to pelagic fish season in Iceland as well as growing export from this region to Iceland have encouraged EIMSKIP to expand their sailing system adding port calls to Gdynia and Klaipeda.

In August – October EIMSKIP ship will call at KKT terminal once in a fortnight, the first visit is expected on August 23.
