Closure of the Cruise Season

The cruise season that started this year on April 27 with the coming of the Mona Lisa cruise ship, ends on October 7 with the leave of the cruise ship Boudicca.
Sigitas Dobilinskas, the Director General of Klaipeda State Sea Port Authority, Arvydas Narmontas, the temporary acting Master of the Port, Rimantas Taraškevičius, Mayor of Klaipeda, and other representatives of the port and city institutions that are related to cruise shipping, will participate in celebrations dedicated to the closure of the season.
The cruise ship Boudicca (built in 1973 in Helsinki) calling to Klaipeda port on Saturday is 205.47 m length, 25.20 m wide and 7.50 m draught. It will bring 775 tourists. The agents of the ship is Limarko jūrų agentūra Ltd. The tourist agency Klaipėdos Mėja Ltd that services the ship, has already booked preliminary tours to the Curonian Split (for 54 tourists), Klaipeda Old Town  and Palanga (for 186 tourists), Lapių village (for 108 tourists) and the Maritime Museum (for 18 tourists).
Klaipeda City Council and Klaipeda State Sea Port Authority invite all representatives of the press to the celebration of the closure of season that will take place on Saturday, 7 October, 2006, at 7.45 hrs at the Cruise Ship Terminal.
